CHARLESTON AREA ALLIANCE TO HOST WE LOVE OUR COMMUNITY AWARDS PROGRAM

WHEN: 4 – 6 p.m. – Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009

WHERE: The Clay Center, Walker Theater

WHAT: The Charleston Area Alliance will host the second annual We Love Our Community awards program, presented by Verizon.

The event runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Clay Center’s Walker Theater.

“It celebrates the magic of our people, places and culture,” said Susie Salisbury, the Alliance’s vice president of community development. “It shines a spotlight on everything positive about Charleston.”

Featuring Maestro Grant Cooper and the Montclaire Quartet, the program includes awards for the following categories: Outstanding Preservation, Kanawha Heritage, Best Development, Community Celebration, Arts to the Max, Sustainable Development, James R. Thomas Outstanding Volunteer, Charleston Herald, Do the Charleston and Servant Leader.
