Charleston Area Alliance, Community Development

Community Development initiates and implements programs in cooperation with diverse community participation and government/private partnerships to build strong communities and enhance the area’s quality of life. Community Development is carried out primarily by the efforts of many volunteers who serve in various capacities on project-oriented tasks. 

This division has two primary goals. To increase our natural and built assets through sustainable development and smart growth initiatives, and to provide unique educational opportunities to enhance community development within our region.
