Susie Kortz Salisbury holds her Master’s in Business Administration from Marshall Graduate College and a Parks and Recreation Administration Degree from Marshall University. She also is a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional through the National Development Council. Salisbury is currently working towards her certification as an American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP).
She has over 25 years experience in community and economic development including serving as the State Coordinator for the Main Street West Virginia Program in the WV Development Office, Executive Director of Charleston Renaissance Corporation and the Charleston Festival Commission, as well as, private consulting for many community and economic development agencies. Her experience also includes several years in the administration of parks and recreation departments for the City of Charleston and South Charleston.
Currently, she holds board seats on many non-profits including the Community Development Partnership of WV, Preservation Alliance of WV, Daymark Inc., Capitol Market, Wayfinding Commission, Local School Improvement Council, and serves on several volunteer committee activities such as the Susan G. Koeman Foundation, Kids On Court, Marshall Alumni Association Tennis Tournament, homeroom parent and others.
